Compassionate Conversations: Conflict Resolution Workshop
Please join the Muslim-Jewish Solidarity Committee for another exciting workshop in our Compassionate Conversations program.
Conflict resolution specialist, Jessica Baen, will introduce key conflict resolution techniques to facilitate effective communication across differences. Through hands-on exercises, we will explore how we approach conflict, what triggers us, and what challenges we need to overcome in order to have more productive conversations.
No prior training necessary. Refreshments will be served. This event will be held in the 14th Street Y Community Room.
About Jessica Baen:
Jessica Baen is a conflict resolution professional with expertise in mediation, intercultural communication, and human rights advocacy. She has conducted research in Timor Leste, India, Syria, Palestine and Israel. She is a Senior Facilitator with Soliya, an NGO that convenes intercultural dialogues between university students in the Middle East and the West, and is active with New York City-based community organizations to promote immigrant rights and combat religious prejudice. Jessica previously served as a Staff Research Associate at the Arnold A. Saltzman Institute of War and Peace Studies at the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University and recently founded a new initiative: The Dialogue Experiment: Talking Through Red and Blue. She holds a Master in Public Affairs Degree from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University.
