Prelude to Preschool Info Session

Please join us on Wednesday, August 21 to learn more about Prelude to Preschool. Early Childhood program staff including Nili Shriber, Director of Preschool, will be leading fun activities and available to answer all your questions.

Info Session Schedule: 

• 6:00 – 6:30 PM: Rooftop Playtime (weather permitting)
• 6:30 – 7:00 PM: Playtime in one of the Prelude to Preschool classrooms
• 7:00 – 7:30 PM: Storytime and sing-a-long with 14Y Staff

Tours of the 14Y will be available at the end of the Info Session.

Wine and snacks will be provided.

About 14th Street Y’s Prelude to Preschool Program

For Children Age 15 – 34 Months

Prelude to Preschool is a special program that is tailored to the social, emotional, and cognitive needs of your children and the grown-ups who accompany them through the beginning of their educational adventures!

In our classrooms, we approach learning from a child-centered perspective. Prelude to Preschool, a one hour and forty-five-minute program that runs twice a week from September through June, was created to ensure that your child will have the happiest first experience of “school.”

A typical Prelude day includes classroom time, playroom/roof time, snack/lunch, art, story, and music time. The separation is gradual. Our whole-family approach includes a weekly discussion groups, and other opportunities for our adults to explore and share their perspectives on parenting, caregiving, education, and child development.
