Helena Gindi

Director of Jewish Life

Helena Gindi has spent the last 15 years producing Jewish arts, culture and educational programs for adults and children. She has worked as the Director of Public Programs at the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research where she focused on presenting cutting-edge art inspired by YIVO’s archives and experimented with interactive learning at events. She also served as the Principal of the Children’s Learning Program at Kolot Chayeinu synagogue, a Jewish after school, which serves early childhood through 8th grade. Helena has studied theater, dance and literature and is most interested in the transformative nature of art, experiential learning, and the role of community in art and education.
